SPOILERS AHEAD (just saying…)
Issue 1 – Terror at the edge of the Universe
Suzi Quazar is an average programmer in the Astro Survey Corps.
She hates her job, programming trash disposal units on an orbital space dock.
It’s not the programming she hates, but the people she works with. She dreams of doing more, but she is too indecisive to commit to a course of action. So Suzi gripes about her situation instead of using her intelligence to change it.
After a long overnight shift, Suzi’s boss tells her that she left her tool kit on-board an experimental star ship. Suzi hurries back to the ship to get the kit, and without warning the new Singularity Drive powers up and transports her across the galaxy.
Suzi discovers that she has been transported 13 billion light years away from home, and finds she is on the edge of an ancient battlefield.Suzi is stunned, as mankind has not made alien contact yet..Suzi sees that her ship is drifting into the debris from the battle. Suzi activates a maintenance robot and orders the ship to moved to a higher orbit. The robot tells her the ship is running on emergency power and can’t move.
Suzi tries to restart the ships systems, but the power controls are locked out and she doesn’t have passwords to access the main computer.
She tries to use the programming interface to get around this, but she is locked out of that system too. Suzi breaks down and cries, but then catches herself and figures out that she has to manually reboot the ships systems. This can only be done by going outside the ship. Suzi uses the emergency survival gear on the ship to venture out and reset the computer. She commands the robot to bring the power back online, but as the ship reboots, it is covered by energy discharges. This discharge awakens a dormant insect like drone that is floating in the battlefield debris. The drone being moving towards Suzi. Inside the ship, energy arcs from the control panel to the maintenance robot and shorts it out. The maintenance robot comes back online,but is altered, an alien intelligence now controls it. The newly changed robot activates a scan of the space around the ship and determines the drone is rapidly approaching their position.
The robot contacts Suzi and tells her to return to the ship.
Suzi is able to get back on the ship after the maintenance robot opens the hatch and moves the ship.
As she is yelling at the robot, a drone slams against a window and claws at it. Suzi is horrified, and the robot tells her they need to leave right now as more drones are heading towards them. 
With power restored, she flies into the debris field, but more and more drones attach themselves to the hull. The drones start burning and cutting the ship. Finally the robot tells Suzi to do a a high speed entry into the atmosphere in order to remove the drones attacking the ship.
Suzi has to pilot the ship herself, as the robot is balancing the power and shield calculations to give them maximum protection against the drone attacks.
Suzi has to do the calculations for reentry herself, since the ship doesn’t have enough available memory to perform the calculations.She is able to make the atmospheric entry and with the help of the newly intelligent robot, she is able to avoid crashing into this strange new world.
